Construction of land-based and maritime/port infrastructures in Mauritania

Overview

This flagship project aims to support the transformation of Mauritania's fisheries systems, one of the pillar's of the national economy. It will focus on small-scale fishing, in order to ensure the conservation of ecosystems and the sustainability of resources, to support the creation of decent jobs throughout the fisheries products value chain, and to facilitate the availability, equitable access to and consumption of healthy, safe and diversified food. 

The project will continue to support public and private actors operating in the fisheries sectors with high environmental, economic and nutritional potential, and will support initiatives and infrastructures identified as priorities and structuring factors for the sustainable development of the sector. ​
