Overview

This flagship project consists in the construction of Bus Rapid Transit system in Dakar (Senegal).

The main objectives of the project are:

  • to provide a 100% electric solution to replace partly fossil fuel used by the vehicles. This will offer a green and sustainable means of transport in the long term.
  • to provide economic support by financing part of the rolling stock. This will result in an affordable tariff for end-users.

The project will allow decongesting the city of Dakar urbanized at 96.4%, which concentrates half of the Senegalese population and 80% of the economic exchanges of the country and will contribute to offer a clean transport solution to Senegalese population by the development of an inclusive, green, sustainable and safe modal transport.

The project will also support the government of Senegal by providing initial investment capex for the e-bus fleet and by allowing affordable tariff for end users, resulting in a positive impact in the municipality/government finances.
